tinfoil crowns

newest one from propaganda, shot and directed by my brother, nathan corrona. in love with every last second of it (eyes and ears both) but at exactly 1:06, my heart seized and by 1:27, I was crying out Lord Jesus yes.

this is real hip hop, friends. it still exists. lest there be doubters, naysayers.

p.s. I am maybe just a little bit excited about the particular location of this video and if you can tell me where this was shot (city and state) and if you are speedy about it, if you are the first one, I will probably send you a leetle prize.

  1. I'm going to go with my gut and say cincinnati, ohio...but I also realize this is probably wrong. I just want it to be right. my friend hattie says it's detroit. give her the prize.

    1. yup-- decatur, illinois! but a couple folks above beat you to it. :) isn't it beautiful? there are many that would say that it is not (the city of decatur, that is) but I think it is. and I'm glad you do too.

  9. After just having to restrain myself online after reading an artist refer to the midwest as mundane, minimal and bleak, it is refreshing to see this perspective. Your brother is obviously someone who can appreciate and see the beauty here.

    1. sad that people have such a narrow view of such a beautiful part of the country. glad you appreciated this (was hoping maybe you would). xo

  13. This was more than timely...thanks for sharing this. It was the inspiration I needed to get me past a creative block. My creative writing prof. has said this, "A musician can suck up all the creative energy in the room," and I believe it. But what I notice, is when I listen to music while writing or taking pictures, it only adds to the creative juices to make just the right mix.
